When the story of Harvey Mandel, I mentioned this group (here). But the main
person in the group was its creator - a violinist and vocalist Don "Sugarcane"
Harris (Don Francis Bowman Harris, of Pasadena, Calif.). He is still in
the mid-50's started in rock 'n' roll duo Don and Dewey. Then
Don played with John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers and Frank Zappa (in the Mothers of
Invention) ... Other gang members were - Harvey "Snake" Mandel (lead
guitar), Victor Conte (bass, ex-Common Ground), Paul Lagos (drums,
ex-Johnny Otis, ex-John Mayall, ex-Kaleidoscope, ex-Canned Heat), Randy
Resnick (rhythm guitar, ex-Canned Heat, ex-Common Ground). Choice Cuts -
only one album, with "live" recorded live in Seattle.

then moved to Canada and started fairly successful solo career,

DISCS OF THE BAND! BOTH ARE GOOD BUT BETTER YET MORE FROM SECOND

Because I spent a lot of late evenings as a teenager wide awake, When I should've Been
asleep, listenting to Dick Summer on WBC out of Boston, I got real familiar
what was then marketed the Being or the Boston Bosstown
Sound. Bands like The Beacon Street Union, Ultimate Spinach, Apple Pie Motherhood Band to
name just a few got big time radio play on WBC and Dick
Summer did what he could to get all these fledgling bands exposure so that
the East Coast could compete with the West Coast for the trippiest music
going in the late 60's. There were quite a few of those Bosstown bands that
I dug and this group, Eden's Children, was one of my very favorite ones. I
pretty much wore this record out. So with that in mind, take a listen and
ignore the surface noise, pay attention to the guitar work. It's a shame
this cat never got his due cuz he has the chops to have one of the great
ones.

GOLD!
Very Good psychedelic folk bluesy with long tracks full of 60's vibe and
drugged-out spacy guitar!!Though this is usually classified as a Dutch rock
album by the few collectors who are aware of it, this early-‘70s LP in fact
seems like a more natural emulation of British (and sometimes American)
folk-rock music than many such productions of the era from Continental
Europe. In this case, there’s a good reason for that, as O.P.M.C. featured
the talents of a Scotsman (Barrie Webb), along with those of Teun van der
Slikke. The LP is fair, though not outstanding, folk and folk-rock with a
moody streak and a stylistic unevenness that almost create the impression
of being the work of more than one artist. Sometimes it offers pastoral
hippie musings, à la “I’ll Just Sit Here and Dream” and “Ballad of the
Sun,” almost as if they’re trying to be a poppier Incredible String Band.
“Easter Song,” by contrast, sounds like the late-‘60s Hollies trying to go
a little folkier. Some of the brittle guitar work on “The Head” and “Fire
Child” makes it seem not unlikely that Love’s Forever Changes could have
been something of an influence. Yet more territory is covered by the
Creedence Clearwater Revival-flavored blues-country-rock of “Sick and
Tired,” and the Sonny Terry-like blues harmonica-motored instrumental
“Train Thing.” It’s an undoubtedly diverse effort that lacks distinction
more due to its average material than its eclectic scope.

When this disc released in 1997, and the bonuses in 2005, my friends
said: "This is Black Sabbath early 70's!". To which I reply: "So this
written in the years 1970-72, but then was not released." Group was established in
Oslo in 1970, initially under the name Ezra West, then - Lucifer, but then
Lucifer were not counted and the name was changed to "was Lucifer." Spoke in his native

Debut (and the only "intravital") album of the years 1967-1969
Oslo. Was created by guitarist Terje Rypdal (ex-The Vanguards), bassist
Hans Marius Stormoen, keyboardist Christian Reim (both ex-Public Enemies) and
drummer Tom Karlsen (ex-The Sapphires). Dream ... Sound familiar? Then

Stafford (originally called The Climax Chicago Blues Band). One of Britain's leading ensembles

Continuing the theme. Plays On - second album in the discography group from
Stafford (originally called The Climax Chicago Blues Band). One of Britain's leading ensembles
period blues boom of the late 60's. Leaders
ensemble since its inception been the guitarist-vocalist Peter Haycock,
vocalist Harper, Colin Cooper (ex-frontman of rhythm & blues group The
Hipster Image) and bassist Derek Holt. On this album, the traditional blues
add a touch of elements of jazz and Latin music. It is in this vein
will develop Handwriting The Climax Blues Band
within the next three years. In keeping with a strong blues base, the group, the
not, however, adored small, often quite trivial attacks the adjacent

and became quite popular at home (# 17 in Dutch charts), as well as
Scandinavia and Switzerland (# 10). Girls took part in several television
show, creating a memorable image in bright gypsy
dresses. A year later, the Argentine pop trio of sisters Trillizas de Oro
sung this song in English and released single, Tango Tango, and Snoopy to
time recorded their second single - Honolulu / My Sister Does The Chacha
(1979), which also received some recognition (aided by
his promotion to television), but he did not hit the charts. After this project
left Florence Woerdings, and in its place came Maureen Seedorf
(Maureen Seedorf). The new composition of the duo recorded a new single It's All
In The Bible / Mama Said Yes, Daddy Said No. Track It's All In The Bible
entered the Dutch Top-10 hit and became the best duo. In 1979
girls released their debut (and only) LP Snoopy (in some
publications called It's All In The Bible), which included all
previously recorded singles as well as new compositions. Then in 1980
project was closed.

NEXT WAS A BAND THAT TAPED YOUR SOLE CANADIAN ALBUM IN 1971!
After a few hit singles in Canada, secured a contract with Warner
Brothers and at the end of 1971, comes the album "Dusty Shoes" which was launched with a disclosure
very limited distribution and very poor! With this album
not successful and the band ended in 1973! The sound is a Hard Rock
organ seventies with heavy guitars. Voile and some nice memories of Grand Funk
Raillroad! The band members later
NEXT flocked to other bands like The Guess Who, Harlequin and The Litter! POISON
CANADIAN HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! VENENASSO! Winnipeg's Next
Were an offshoot of The Fifth regional heroes. After a fairly successful run of
singles in Canada, The Fifth split in 1970 with
several members of the band defecting to other acts in the region. One such
product of the split was Next. The band were quickly able to secure a
contract with Warner Brothers and by late 1971, "Dusty Shoes" was released.
With somewhat limited exposure and very poor distribution, the album sank
without a trace and Next were history by the end of 1973. Members would
later turn up in The Guess Who, Harlequin and The Litter.
"Dusty Shoes" is very much typical of the era from which it sprang.
Overall, it's tastefully arranged organ/guitar driven pseudo hard rock that
recalls Grand Funk Railroad quite a bit in places. With the soulfully
gritty vocals of George Belanger, everything here has an edge which makes
much of the material here sound harder than it actually is. That subtle
dynamic is what carries most of this album and makes it a truly satisfying
listen. Check out this obscure offering from Next, contributed by Orchman.

Zhurbins and librettist, I'm not afraid of the word, Yuri
Dimitrina) entered the Guinness Book of Records as a musical,
maximum number of times played one team (at the moment registration record
play performed 2350 times). Genre of "Orpheus and Eurydice" is defined as
Zhong-opera (a word borrowed from Zhong Threepenny Opera by Bertolt
Brecht). Zong - it ensemble inserts, which assesses
going from something like a chorus in Greek tragedies
. To participate in theatrical productions of "Singing Guitars" was
radically modified: Albert came vocalists Asadullin, Valery Tsakadze and
Irina Ponarovskaya, guitarists Simon Schneider and Valery Brovko, bassist
Vladimir Vasiliev and drummer Arkady Gerstein ... Although there are
vocalists? What's the rock? If only operetta, far-fetched ... For
overseas performance has not been shown. What, however, did not prevent him get
foreign diploma British Musical Award: in 1976 the magazine Musical Week "for

Blues-rock band STEAMHAMMER was formed at the end of 1988 by Martin
Quittenton (guitar), Kieran White (vocals, harmonica, guitar), Martin Pugh
(guitar), Steve Davy (bass) and Michael Rushton (drums). Their first
album, "Reflections" (AKA "Junior's Wailing") was released in 1969. After
this first album, Quittenton and Rushton both quit the band to be replaced
by Mick Bradley (drums) and Steve Joliffe (sax, flute), who gave a jazzy
influence to the band in their second album, "Mk. II" (1969). Shortly after
this release, Joliffe left the band, wich continued as a 4 piece in their
third album "Mountains" (1970), which was a returning to the blues-rock of
the first album. After a major turnover, Pugh and Bradley invited Louis
Cennamo (bass) and, along with special guest Garth Watt-Roy (vocals),
recorded "Speech" in 1971. This last album was released posthumously, after
Bradley's death in 1972. Kieran White released a solo album; both Pugh and
Cennamo formed Armageddon with Keith Relf in 1975. Martin Quittenton went
to play with Rod Stewwart.

"GARDEN OF DELIGHTS"! The LOUDNESS IS A PROGRESSIVE WITH HEAVY
Psychedelia and pinches WITH SOME INFLUENCE OF DEEP PURPLE! THE ALBUM WAS REALLY
TO BE A DEMO BECAUSE WERE ONLY FOUR TRACKS! THE LAST THREE ARE CAPTURED LIVE
AND CLEARLY THERE ARE ONLY COMPLETE THE DISCO PRA,
BECAUSE THE QUALITY MAKES A WISH! BUT CERTAINLY THE FIRST FOUR ARE POISONOUS
BANDS! Rare POISON AND HIGHLY RECOMENDADO!! One of
many obscure bands from the 1970's not documented at the time. Apparently
the album was recorded for Kerston Records in 1972, but was never released.
Action hailed from Zweibrücken, and played a heavy prog blend quite
obviously influenced by Deep Purple, organ fronted and with Wolfgang Benki
notably indebted to Ian Gillan. Over all it sounds more like a demo than a
proper album. Side 1's two-part opus feels a bit like early Tomorrow's Gift
(hints of Vanilla Fudge and Pink Floyd). Obviously unfinished, the final
track is a live recording of rather mediocre quality. - SOURCE OF

"GARDEN OF DELIGHTS"! The LOUDNESS IS A PROGRESSIVE WITH HEAVY
Psychedelia and pinches WITH SOME INFLUENCE OF DEEP PURPLE! THE ALBUM WAS REALLY
TO BE A DEMO BECAUSE WERE ONLY FOUR TRACKS! THE LAST THREE ARE CAPTURED LIVE
AND CLEARLY THERE ARE ONLY COMPLETE THE DISCO PRA,
BECAUSE THE QUALITY MAKES A WISH! BUT CERTAINLY THE FIRST FOUR ARE POISONOUS
BANDS! Rare POISON AND HIGHLY RECOMENDADO!! One of
many obscure bands from the 1970's not documented at the time. Apparently
the album was recorded for Kerston Records in 1972, but was never released.
Action hailed from Zweibrücken, and played a heavy prog blend quite
obviously influenced by Deep Purple, organ fronted and with Wolfgang Benki
notably indebted to Ian Gillan. Over all it sounds more like a demo than a
proper album. Side 1's two-part opus feels a bit like early Tomorrow's Gift
(hints of Vanilla Fudge and Pink Floyd). Obviously unfinished, the final
track is a live recording of rather mediocre quality. - SOURCE OF
